Lapsit Storytime-Fall-10/22/2015

Hello everyone! This week we will be reading Fall books! The leaves on the trees are yellow and red and they are falling down, that means that winter is on its way!

-Opening Song: Hello!

Hello! Hello! Hello how are you?

I’m fine, I’m fine

And I hope that you are too.

-Opening Fingerplay: Baby’s Game

Touch your ears, pat your nose,
Tickle baby’s little toes.
Hide your eyes, where are you?
Baby’s playing Peek-A-Boo!

(We will repeat them every week, toddlers love repetition because it helps them to learn and because it’s familiar and comforting).

-Fingerplay: Counting Leaves     (count on fingers)

1 leaf, 2 leaves, 3 leaves today

4 leaves, 5 leaves…

woosh!                                          (blow on fingers)

Blowthem all away!                        (fly fingers away)

Books that we are going to be reading are:

Baby Loves Fall! by: Karen Katz

Mother Nature, did you sneeze?  (Achoo!)

-Falling Leaves

Little leaves falling down  (Flutter finger like falling leaves)

Red and yellow, orange and brown

Whirling, twirling, round and round   ( twirl hands in circles)

Falling softly to the ground   ( flutter fingers to floor)

-Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle, twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are.
