Book – Cock-A-Doodle Quack Quack! – by Ivor Baddiel – It’s Baby Rooster’s job to wake everybody up in the morning, but there’s just one problem—he doesn’t know how! The pigs and cows and ducks all try to help, but nothing seems to work. Luckily, the wise old owl comes to the rescue.

Song – Farm Sounds
(Tune: Wheels on the Bus)
The cows in the barn go moo, moo, moo,
Moo, moo, moo, moo, moo, moo.
The cows in the barn go moo, moo, moo,
All around the farm.
Other verses:
… pigs in the pen go oink, oink, oink
… hens in the coop go cluck, cluck, cluck
… rooster on the fence goes cock-a-doodle-do
… ducks in the pond go quack, quack, quack
… lambs on the hill go baa, baa, baa

Book/Song – Pete the Cat Old MacDonald Had a Farm- by James Dean – Join Pete the Cat as he learns the sounds of all the different farm animals—chickens, pigs, and even frogs. Everyone’s favorite groovy cat is groovier than ever in this way-cool adaptation of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”!

Flannelboard – Five Pigs so Squeaky Clean

(Tune: “Five Green and Speckled Frogs)
Five pigs so squeaky clean
Cleanest you’ve ever seen
Wanted to go outside and play
Oink! Oink!
One jumped into the mud
Landed with a big THUD
Then there were four clean squeaky pigs.etc.

This is the way we plant our seeds so early in the morning

If you’re a chicken and you know it, then you really ought to show it,
If you’re a chicken and you know it say “Cluck, cluck”
