Toddler Time – Wednesday 10/22 – Fall

We are talking about fall/autumn today!

Our book:

Karen Katz is (by far) one of my favorite baby storytime authors!  Her books are so colorful, and the babies’ little round faces are so cute.  You’ll see me reading lots of Karen Katz books throughout the year.

Our Bounce Rhyme – Bockety Boo

This little horse goes bockety bockety.

This little horse goes bockety bockety,
Bockety, bockety, BOO!

Nursery Rhyme – Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill is a great nursery rhyme.  There are rhyming words (Jill & hill), alliteration (words starting with the same sound – Jack & Jill), and a fun beat that helps little ears hear each and every sound (phoneme) in words!  Plus, there’s some great opportunities for new vocabulary words (does your child know what a pail is?  How about the word “crown” as it relates to a part of the body?).

Have a great week and enjoy the FALL weather!
