Preschool Storytime – Things that Go!

Hello everyone!  This week we will read stories about things that go on land, sea and air!

Opening song – “So Happy You’re Here Today!” – by Hap Palmer

Flannelboard – Transportation Sort Game – The children will help me sort out pictures of modes of transportation of what flies in the sky, what moves in the water, and what moves on land.

Book – Where do Diggers Sleep at Night? by Brianna Caplan Sayres -Illustrations and rhyming text reveal what trucks, tractors, and construction vehicles do to get ready for bed after a hard day’s work.

Book – In the Driver’s Seat – by Max Haynes -A driving lesson becomes a wild ride through countryside and city streets, with an unexpected conclusion.

Action Rhyme: “The Airplane”
The airplane has great big wings (arms outstretched)
Its propeller spins around and sings “vvvvvv!” (make one arm go round)
The airplane goes up (lift arms)
The airplane goes down (lower arms)
The airplane flies high (arms outstretched, turn body around)
